Probably online ordering new chickies. ;)
Hiya, I have recently picked up five hens from a farmer. I got an Australorp (4 Months old), two easter eggers (also 4 Months), a White leghorn (2 months), and a Partridge Rock (again 2 Months.) Anyway, I haven’t found any treats that they really like. I am already feeding them starter chick feed, which they enjoy, but I will soon switch to pellets instead of crumble. Back to the treats ;) I’ve tried kale and it was barely touched. I tried strawberries, which weren’t eaten. I also tried stale bread, which was pecked at with a bit more enthusiasm. I also put a few meal worms in, which they absolutely adored!! Is there anything else I could give them that they would enjoy? I have planted some lettuce outside of there coop that they can devour when it ripens. Alright, thank you so much for reading this and please comment suggestions below! I would love to hear what you are feeding your chickens.

Also, here is a picture of my Easter Egger, Hazel. (Sorry that it’s sideways!!)

Mine go crazy for grapes and the also like unflavored Greek yogurt. They will devour a strawberry if it's in my hand, but pretty much ignore it if I just drop it in their brooder

Mine loved scrambled eggs! I have been throwing a little bit of oatmeal in when I scrambled them too. They go crazy. I have also done yogurt mixed with their starter and they like that. Yesterday I had some leftover steamed carrots, cauliflower and broccoli that I mashed up and gave them. The carrots were saved until the end but they munched them up too.

Mine seem to get most excited for meat treats. Raw or cooked beef, venison, or fish really gets them going. Second place goes to cooked sweet potatoes. Third has to be cantaloupe or any sort of melon seeds and rinds.

Mine love chicken also peanuts. They will chase me around the yard if i have a jar of peanuts in my hand. It's kinda weird to see them eating chicken but they love it.
