After reading on here about food grade DE, I tired some for my ducks and chickens. Very happy with too!!!

Now, I'm wondering if it can be used with chicks?

That is a big ole YES.. I use DE all around and in my chicks. I have used it since the day they came home. I mix a little in the food before I fill the feeders, sprinkle it on the shavings in the coop, on the floor and in the runs. I even dump a pile of it in the most favorite place for the dust baths , and on the roosting poles too!

Me too...since day one. I love the stuff. The feed I buy from the mill actually comes with DE already mixed in....it's organic feed. DE also works great sprinkled around the perimeter of the house to keep ants out. Blasted ants everywhere!

Oh thanks for the ant info. My russian tortoise enclosures have been invaded with ants. I know what I will do now:-)

What's sweet PDZ?

I've added the DE to the feed. I don't know if it's my imagination but my ducks water doesn't smell like a septic tank at the end of the day.

Sweet PDZ helps to remove ammonia odors plus reduces fly population.

Reducing fly population!!! I'm all over that!!!

Where does one purchase Sweet PDZ? I'm assuming a feed store?
