They could have had a lot more on Joe Salatin and some of the positive side, his set up is EXACTLY what we want for our family, just on a smaller scale.

Salatin also has a video out on Polyface techniques where he and his son and daughter go into great detail on the how-to and why of their systems.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to the Original Poster.

When the movie came out.. I figured.. Oh another one of those movies, ya know the ones that tell us how horrible we are for eating meat, for participating in a system that we don't have a choice about...

BUT I WAS SOOOOO WRONG

This is an intelligent and eye opening look at the "business" of food production in the United States. It does not come off as any type of scolding, in fact, it is just the opposite; educational, encouraging, inspiring and hopeful. My DD who thought veganism was the "right" thing to do, now understands the difference between the "right" thing to do and the "popular" thing to do.

I am glad and encouraged to know that I can still eat meat & enjoy a full rich varied diet.
I am now more educated and understand the true "cost" of my food choices and how EASY it actually is to start supporting a GOOD and HEALING system.
I am inspired and have already committed to a "new way of eating" for myself, and my family also agreed this was the RIGHT thing to do.
And I'm hopeful that others can now gain access to this extremely important message in an on confrontational way, so that they may also begin to heal their own thinking about food, food production and healing ourselves & the planet at the same time.

I have long since felt that our "technological advances" have mostly been to our own detriment... I now understand where we have gone wrong, and that the devastation comes from the desire for quick & easy, cheap & fast IN EVERY SENSE (food, clothing, life, relationships ect) and how universal the effects of a few poor choices can be. How quickly these effects can devastate us, and how important it is for us to move forward THOUGHTFULLY and AWARE of our previous mistakes.

SO thank you... because you posted this thread... I watched the movie... 3 more lives changed in my home, and I have already begun to preach the gospel.
