Food Scraps?

I don't give chicken bones to the dog because they stick in her throat and she hacks for 3 days, if I give them to the cats they scatter them all over by the door where we walk, so naturally they go in the chicken pens. They won't eat okra unless it's boiled, nor jalepeno peppers or satsuma peels, never noticed if they eat onions or not, they do eat black bananas and they ate a chocolate cake once. "They say" they're not sposed to eat tomato plants but mine will strip a tomato plant leafless within 2 ft of the ground; my hens even bite of small pieces and feed them to their bittys.

What do the chickens do with the chicken bones?

Why would what be thrown in the coop? The bones? Well, whatever you do NEVER give ANY animal a bone because it can splinter it's insides.
its cooked bones that should not be fed to animals. Bones that are not cooked, offer great benefits to cats and dogs. You were most likely speaking of cooked bones, but just offering some clarification for those whok might not know the difference. Good day all.

It's all bones that can splinter. I advise you don't give bones to animals.

ABSOLUTELY!

I give my dog raw bones frequently, based on my veterinarian's advice. My dog is a champion (I am biased of course). My vet also made it absolutely clear that cooking bones makes them brittle, and no cooked bones, no matter what size, should be fed to my animals.

So from experience and based on advice from some random vet in Colorado, I can say I give a thumbs up to raw bones!

P.S.- I will note that I know dogs who get upset tummies after eating bones, it's not for everyone!
