Ok so I am thinking of getting a food saver vacuum thing.

Can anyone tell me Good AND Bad of the ones they have used?
I go to Costco and they have several Food Saver brand ones.

Is there a better brand? Does it really matter?
What about the bags, can you use other brands in the Food Saver one and visa versa ?

I owned one of these back in the 1990's and liked it but sold it because I didn't use it much.

What say you ?

I use a Food Saver brand.
I'm not sure on the model but it works great still (it's older)
I don't think the brand name of the bags makes a difference.
I prefer to buy the long rolls, and cut them to size..it wastes less.

Good idea on the rolls. I have heard that in the past but we ate everything so I didn't need to use them much.
