FOOD spoiled?

Can you treat spoil your chickens like a dog? I have been giving them lots of cool treats since the heat .Now its over i still go out 3 times aday with something .CEreal or bread
They LOVE bread.
I give 11 of them 1 piece torn up.They seem to eat their food but they are in soft green grass and its about 6 inches high but idont see them eating it except when i first move the tractor run each day.They are looking around for me to come out.

As long as you don't give them to much bread as a lot can lead to sour crop. One piece for 12 a day sounds okay. Are they also eating their regular feed? Sounds like they are treated with much love and that's great!!!

PS And also never never never give them "ruined" moldy food as that can make them seriously ill....

Yes they can be treat spoiled. As long as you don't over do it and unbalance their diet they'll be fine. As for the grass, they may be eating more than you think, but while you are there they are thinking "Are there any more treats coming."

Thanks for the answers .Helpful.Didnt know about the bread thing.i have a lot to learn.
They do eat their food too just doesnt seem like the grass but you are right it it s pretty thick right here so maybe they do eat more than i see...and the rest of the lawn is gone drought so cant tell with it..Try and keep them on the green part
