Food/water availability at night.

We keep the feed and water in the hen house 24/7. That way any birds on the low end of the pecking order can get food and water when the rest of the flock is on the roost. Also, it helps keep wild birds from eating the feed and helps keep the water from freezing as much in winter.

We keep bowls of water around the farm for our Great Pyr, and the chickens will drink out of those bowls when they are foraging the farm.

We have our water outside in the run. Our food is normally outside as well, unless it is raining or looks like rain, then I move it inside their coop on a bungee.
