So they are with the coturnix? Since you do staggered hatches are all ages in one pen? Now you are seeing the aggression thing for the first time. That is why bobwhites are hard to get the hang of. First off get them separated by age and species. Second run to the hardware store and buy a heat lamp for them when you separate...

BWQL: Whether or not you want to believe it, the quail are pecking each other. You need to do whatever you can to keep them from doing so. Lower the temp in your brooder for starters, if that doesn't work you'll have to move the 2 that don't have pecked feet since these are the most likely culprits.

it should have been noted that because there was no where else to put them but with the Coturnix she was unable to relocate them.....
