About 2 weeks ago, one of my polish chicks developed a small limp. I examined it's foot but found nothing. Just in case it was the beginning of bumblefoot, I gave it an epsom salt soak. I continued to watch it carefully, but the limp never got better, and the foot never really swelled up. I gave it another soak, unsure of what to really do.
About 3 days ago, though, I noticed a little swelling on its foot, but it wasn't that bad and I couldn't find an injury or scab anywhere. I went out there today to check on it and I noticed a small pink spot on the top of its foot and a missing nail I hadn't noticed before.
I took a picture of its foot and I'm attaching it below. I had to be careful because the foot seemed sensitive to touch. I couldn't get any better angles because both the chick and the mama hen were freaking out.

The toe may be broken, hard to say. You have 2 avenues - you could splint/tape the toe, but it needs to be checked regularly. OR since she's moving around some but is self limiting her activity, you could leave it alone and monitor it to see if it gets better/worse.
