I have a chick that I just hatched a day and a half ago. At first it didn’t stand at all and I just assumed it was resting post hatch, but now it is standing only on one leg. I don’t know why it’s not pushing pressure on the other leg and I’m not sure what I can do to help. It doesn’t seem to be in a lot of pain. I can manipulate the leg quite a bit without him or her crying all the way to the hip but it does seem uncomfortable with that first joint above the foot. This is a Silkie and sapphire gem mix so the skin is black, I don’t see a slipped tendon and I can’t seem to manipulate anything there. Just want to give this baby the best chance possible, I already have a one legged Silkie and I see how he’d things are for him, don’t want a repeat. I can’t seem to attach video but I did attach photos. Thank you for any advice.
