Hello,

I have a rooster who won't stand on one foot. I have removed small areas of infection in the past, but this time I cannot find anything that looks abnormal on the foot that he won't use. He is missing the ends of some of his toes (maybe due to frostbite), but the tissue all looks normal, yellow and healthy. He has been hopping on one foot for almost a week and I'm afraid I'm going to lose him. Any ideas?

Is his foot pink anywhere?
We had a rooster like that... No visible problems... He died after a short time. I hope you have better luck.

Hi @222danette :frow
Can you post some photos of your rooster, his legs and feet (bottom of the feet too)?
Is he eating/drinking?
How old is he?
What type of food/treats do you feed?

Putting your location in your profile will help us help you:)

Once we get more information and photos, hopefully we will be able to give you some suggestions.

Can you describe what you mean by pink? What exactly did the pink look like? A small patch on top of the foot or the leg scales?
Large areas of pink between the toes, and up the leg. on the top of the scales.
222danette - Are you sure it's the foot? Could he have problems with his joints?
