I adopted a pair of grown Pekin drakes over a year ago. When I got them, this guy had a split web and the woman said it had been like that for a while. He was getting around fine up until about 3 months ago. My neighbors dog came and killed 6 of my chickens but don’t know if he maybe got ahold of this guy too. I noticed the same day that he wasn’t getting around as well. The whole foot appeared to be a bit swollen then but it has been getting progressively worse. He can still get around but sometimes just lays in the puddles with his foot out like in the picture. Has anyone seen anything like this or know if there’s anything I can do for him?

Can you take him to a vet? That does not look good at all, how does the bottom look? Does it feel hot?

I’d say there is infection in there. A vet is a good idea. Very sorry for your loss. I wouldn’t wait long to get him help. Poor fellow.
