Babe is now at the Hutchingson Zoo. They rehab the deer and release them as a herd. They had 10 other fawns and about 6 or 7 older deer from the year before. One of the fawns they had had been run over by a combine!! When we introduced her to the other fawns they all gathered around her and tongues everywhere! they love licking. Im glad we found a nice place for her. OH! and they had this awsome wood chuck I have never seen a real one! and a squirrel that decided he didn't like me and wanted to kill me he tried to get me through the cage. They also had a bobcat they were rehabing and some Crows.

Emzyyy, it must have been sad and happy to see her re-homed. I hope she is happy happy happy with deer to play with. You and your Dad did a great thing.

, don't ya think? When I was a wildlife rehabber, I found I really like them. Are you able to get involved in "official" rehab work? Seems like you're prime material for such!

I recently just got hired to work a part-time job at our local vet clinic!

I don't get to do any of the cool vet stuff, but I do take care of the dogs/cats. Basically clean cages, walk the dogs, give food and water, clean bedding (for cats), give medicine, etc. etc. I would LOVE to work at a pet shop though. BIG discount on stuff LOL
