For all those on my Welsummer eggs waiting list...

I am having computer trouble. So don't worry if you don't hear from me for a little while. I hope to be back online at home within a few days or sooner...I hope.
Thanks,
Christie

Well, I finally was able to get on here at home. Hopefully the glitch is fixed.

Got 2 more eggs today.

My Wellies laid good for the past week and man, was I deeeelighted! Purdy too!

Now for that waiting list to be on for the Welsummer list, my best bet is to get some from you at the Kankakee auction or a paid visit to my friend in Wateska, IL. I am certain you probably have a few chicks on hand from time to time.

Keep her list long folks, its worth the time and effort to raise those beauties and dark eggs too!

Ewe,
Glad to hear your girls are laying. I should have some chicks and probably a few started welsummers by the April swap. I am assuming your wanting some girls!! I can fix you up with a cockerel if you need one too. I have 6 cockerels right now that I hatched out late fall. I am gonna keep a few for myself and should have extras.

As for cockerals I would have to sneak a boy in coming fall because of city limits. So far I got that Blue Orp roo in with my girls.....might experiment with crossbred Wellies/Orp crosses and I am guessing they would be blue wheatons.

I will have to pass that up but more girls LOL! Then need to find an outcross in next years flock...maybe Ray Valentine lines...wonder where he got his Welsummers from. If you are in a hurry to get rid of them and going by Wateska, I will PayPal you for two young pullets and I will pick them up when I do go to my friends farm in the spring.

Thanks!

Robin,
I hopefully will have enough eggs to set some here within a week. So should have some chicks that are at least 2 weeks old by the April swap. I can pick you out some girls from that batch then, or if you would rather wait till May etc. I should be able to fix you up.

Sara,
You are #6 on the welsummer list and since they have taken their sweet time getting back to laying, by the time I get fertility checked and they are laying good, I am gonna guess it will be in April when I get to you on the list and by then I could very easily have call eggs too. I got 1 call egg over the weekend, so they could be going strong by then. I should have no trouble shipping both at the same time for you.
