Don't leghorns lay white eggs? You could end up with a white eggs. I don't know about the bantam version of the Orp or RIR breed but the standards I have both and the RIR's are great layers already but the buffs who do lay good but go broody might could stand improvment in that department. You will love the colors you get from a RIR and buff cross. it can help on the egg laying for Orps

The Leghorn X RIR would basically get you a red sex-link, unless you reversed the sexes in the cross. Even then you'd probably end up with something similar to the red sex-link in terms of production.
