This sure opens up lots of areas of thought and comment. Like why most men die before their wifes......because they want to.

I still get called for making pie crust, the Missus still can't match my crust. And if I want nuclear grade chilli or ham & beans in the cast iron on the wood stove, I have to make it. Since letting the Missus do my laundry, I get to buy new clothes all the time now due to bleach stains and shrinkage, often I find my stuff thrown out and new clothes hung up for me (A plus, I hate shopping for clothes, unless it's huntin stuff)

No, at the time, I was working 7-12s, so I had an excuse.

Yard and Garden work-----still works for me after 30+ years

Teach her the difference between weeds and garden plants---she'd saved many a weed in the garden. Also she can't tell the difference between trees---mowed down my persimmons and paw-paws instead of the elms and oaks.

It's been said "that the wise man but thinks of marriage", however when it works (with effort and compensation) it's good.

See I opted to trade in my first model, it didnt work well at home, and had problems with keeping its parts i the packaging...
So I opted for an older more experienced model.
my new model has been given a 200 point inspection.
1. Yes Dear was the top of his vocab list
2. He cooks and not only on the grill
3. He cleans (almost to well)
And by that I mean he will shampoo carpets & do laundry CORRECTLY!

You should know better than to title as "No Women Allowed"....that's a total woman magnet!!

1) DH keeps a spotless house, and always did. I'm the disaster. He cleans up after me. I don't get mad when he throws away or moves some article of trash I was hoarding - compromise. He was planning on being an old bachelor, so kept a nice house for himself....and then I came along.
2) He's still training me. Slowly. I'm training him to let me have one corner of disaster (my computer desk).
3) He doesn't evade, but I'm learning to try and anticipate....like doing the dishes after dinner rather than a day or three later.
4) He doesn't have that option...but I bet would be for a wife that isn't such a tornado of destruction.
5) Be careful what you wish for. I hunt, process any and all game we bring home, and can cook just about anything. He forgot to wish for the "clean and organized" part.

I absolutely adore my husband - more now than in the 10 years we've known each other (only married for 3). He's awesome.

And maybe, I'll clean my desk today.

Men, note how the supposed "weaker sex" has come on, uninvited and en masse, to keep you from coming to your senses and/or to start thinking for yourselves. Stand up! Throw off the chains of their conspiracy to brainwash all of us. UNITE or be enslaved for life!

LMAO... For starters, lets look at how many women can't read or follow instructions:D If your mad..Tough, you shoulda

If/when I start again.. I can play real dumb and clutzy;)

"Instructions" only need to be followed if they come from a source of authority. I suppose I am incorrigible, if by incorrigible you mean I refuse to have the sh** kicked out of me for forgetting to replenish the beer in the fridge, or to be pushed down stairs because I forgot to get the Mountain Dew at the grocery store. What makes some men think of women as punching bags anyway? To make a long story short, my ex who is a "soldier" and a mechanic, never fixed anything, allowed our house to run into ruin, treated me like a thing, not a person, put me in the ER a few times, our children HATE him and never want to see or talk to him, since they witnessed a lot of his very poor behavior, and even kicked around and threatened to kill our dog several times. And you are b****ing about being asked to cook or clean something once in awhile??? Poor you. Get a life. Since I left, my mother and I (with little help) have put a new roof on our gorgeous house, built a fabulous swingset and chicken coop, built a beautiful shed, etc. We are currently expanding the large deck even more to add a hot tub. While he is living in a crappy condemned house with out even one full bathroom (due to ripping out most of 1 and 1/2 baths during a temper tantrum.) If you expect people to show up on this "uninvited" then start your own website somewhere else.

Conversely, my sons, 1) clean up after themselves 2) are exceptional students 3) are becoming excellent cooks and 4) do chores without complaint. They know they have it good now, and have learned how to build things and use more tools in the past year that we have been here than they ever did with their other genetic donor.
