Free Rooster (RIR). About 5 1/2 months old . He's doing a good job with the hens, but the neighbors are not happy with him even though he doesn't really start crowing utill about 6:15am. I think he looks pretty good and will look even better when he gets all of his "big boy feathers". The pics don't show is gorgeous green tail very well.

We are in CA, the Sacramento/Bay area. I'd like to find him a home. If you just want to eat him, we could do that ourselves.

Are you very far away from California? Can you even ship a live rooster? He is certainly a hormonal teenager right now if you are ready for that, but he'd watch your hens......very closely. He comes flying/running across the yard to his name though and sends the hens into hiding if there is danger....they would not even come to me one morning when he was all in a twitter about something. He is also not at all afraid of our large dogs....eats right out of their bowl with them if I let him. I can't have my toddlers out in the yard with him anymore because they like to try to pick up the chickens. He doesn't like that one bit.
