And let me add that the first timers are the ones that usually wait til day 7 because they don't expect to see anything until then.
I'm at Day 19 today with my 4th hatch ever and I too am guilty of candling at day 4 this go round.

I think the ones that have hatched before are the worst for going against the better judgement to leave those eggs alone.

, thanks for having so MUCH patients with us newbies!!!! I am in such high hopes of this hatch being my best because I have NOT candled or tweaked my temps as much , now I still checked a couple here and there but not the whole batch and I really think things are better this time, more consistant in piping and zipping. Thanks to all of your advice!
