For the rooster ppl, yet another odd question

My question is, is he saying “ok toots that’s enough, I’m getting mad” or “ ooo baby what a turn on, I’m ready to jump on your back”. Seriously I’ve never seen a roo do this side shuffle. Is it a warning? Just curious.
Most roosters don't do that anymore if they are with hens for a while, but if you put a new rooster in wuth hens, he most likely will go to dancing. I believe it is a mating dance for the chickens. My rooster loves to do it when there are new ladies in the coop. He is a handsome boy, so he wins their hearts (Except for them stubborn Wyandottes)
Like this morning there was a menacing cardinal lurking about, well Gomez put a stop to that immediately! And butterflies in the yard??? He won’t have it!
Can't have those predators creepin' about! They're dangerous, y'know?
I’ve got a girl whose pupil isn’t round, it’s kind of pointy on the bottom
I have a girl who has splotchy eyes. I noticed it after she had gotten her head stuck in some wire as a chick and I helped her out before she killed herself. At first I thought she had popped a vessel or something, causing blood in her eyes. Nope, my Copper is just unique!
Example why do they sun bathe with one leg out?
That is always funny to see! I believe it is like people spreading out as much as possible on something cold to help prevent any heat building up where their body is pressed together. Their equivalent of our cool bed is some cool dirt!

Or why do they all lay eggs in one nesting box even though they have 5?!

(I know why, but it is so silly to see!)
Ok wait I don’t know why! Why do they do that?? I built (by I, I mean my husband) built 4 nice nesting boxes, they all use one-the same one!! My big girls just started laying and I had one literally on top of the other in the same box. I thought it was because they are just new to laying…

It is because the hens see other hens laying in a nesting box and they realize it is a safe place to lay. So when the hens see multiple hens laying in a box, they all see it as the communal nest. That is why people like to place fake eggs in different nesting boxes to make it look like hens have been laying in the boxes so they are seen as safe spots to lay!

Ohhhhh!!!! Wow you’re awesome! I’m always seeing ppl selling fake eggs, I was like “why? Is it for snakes? Like leaving the fake ones out, so the snake doesn’t eat the real one” LOL Man I can be thick sometimes!

I would recommend getting some fake eggs to help spread out the laying! An added bonus to having fake eggs in your nests is that if the hens decide to try and test what their eggs taste like, they will be faced with a sore beak and not want to do it again!

Ooo thank you so much!! Great suggestion! I’m definitely doing this. Although I’m tempted to find the plan of my girl sitting on my other girls back. Was/is she just going to lay her egg on her sisters back? Chickens are so funny.

I always have a couple wooden eggs in my nesting boxes. Haven't had anyone dare to eat the eggs!

The hen was probably going "Don't test me, this egg is about to pop out, and you will be the target if you DON'T GET OUT OF THID BOX!!"

That's the closest.
Roosters herd their hens and from what I can gather from your post his actions are herding actions; unusual for a 20 week old cockerel in my experience. It has nothing to do with mating and it isn't really aggressive in any real sense of the word.
The hackle flash is your I'm getting mad option.
The chest bump is a mature roosters method of asking a hen if she want's to mate. Cockerels usuall just try for the neck grab and don't ask.

I wrote an article on rooster behaviour that may help you understand what may be going on.
