Any eggs would be frozen and cracked before I found them!

I belive the length of the day has alot to do with laying not so much the tempature but it won't be long before they all will be laying somewhere here in the US

Length of day/number of daylight hours is most responsible for the decision for a hen to start laying. If you supplement your daylight hours with addition 2-3 hours of artificial light, your hens will respond likewise. I tested this theory last year, and had hens laying in my barn more than 4 weeks before those that layed outside.

I know it's length of day, I run lights when I want to get more eggs from the chickens. I have 2 BB turkeys in with the chickens, and they are laying. I had the peas in with the chickens last year, they didn't start laying but when I cut the lights back (I was getting too many chicken eggs) my male responded by dropping his train. My peahen never did start laying until late July/early August.

Any eggs would be frozen and cracked before I found them!

OUCH !!!!!!!

Every other day now for the past five days I've had 3 eggs total from my bssp pen inside the Palace. I'm going to crack them open into a frying pan for dinner and look for the bullseye in the yolk but Roadtrip has been strutting his stuff and calling for 2 weeks now so he seems to think it's time.

FBC, do you ship eggs, chicks, or young birds? If you do any of the above I would be interested in some bronze and some Thangettes!
