At what age could you sex by bill color?
I have 8 ducklings that I've assumed are all girls but one of the splash kiddos with a grey bill has an ever so light greenish tint to it in the last week. They were hatched 6/1, making them 3.5 weeks old.
I got one black (with black bill), 2 blues (with grey bills, although one has a darker head and perhaps an eensy bit of green in the bill?), and 5 splash (3 have pink bills, 2 are mottled pink/grey and one greyish-maybe turning green).
Do bill colors change, or will they remain as hatched??
