Curious for those of you who have kept a flock for egg laying for several years what has been your favorite BYM crosses? For production? Personality? Broodiness? Hardiness? Disease resistance?

So far my most productive birds have been cinnamon queens, black Australorps, and a leghorn crossed with an Americana rooster. Both of those hens are highly productive blue egg layers. My crested cream legbars hen is also very productive (6 eggs a wk most wks!) but she isn't a hybrid. I'm currently growing out hatchery white rocks (very much like my Barred rocks) because I heard the white ones were more productive? We will see.... Also growing out Andalusians to eventually use for creating "blue rocks/sapphire gems" - what has everyones experience been with that particular hybrid?

In photos- Cinnamon Queens and the other photo is of my paint leghornx Americana hen.

My favorite crosses are mostly Bantam cochins and Bantam Easter eggers. They're cute, lay decently, and are hardy.
