Ok, I broke down and bought some of these...

I am going to have the supply tank outside the coop and the nipples inside the coop for 24 hour access.

My question is have you had leaks and if you did was there a fix?

I don't want a wet coop floor and if this is an issue I will put the nipples outside..

Thanks everyone!

Use the right sized bit. Drill a nice, neat hole....no buggering it out, wallering it out, etc.,. One zip in, and then out. I'm not sure what size to recommend, but there has been reports of leakage from using small diameter pipes...the curvature of the pipe's wall needs to be more wide than the small pipes will allow.

Just some thoughts...

Best wishes,
Ed

Ahh... I used the recommended 11/32 drill bit in a drill press to make sure of a clean drill...

I am using 1" pipe.. hope that is not to small..
