For those wanting to be more self sufficient...

Tea tree oil is an antiseptic, antifungal, antibiotic - anti all sorts of stuff oil. In many cases for medicinal purposes 100% tea tree oil is exactly what is required to heal many skin problems of varying natures. I think there are plenty Aussie friends here who will agree.

I don't want to cause an arguement. There is a purpose and time for its use at 100% strength even on babies.

edited to add - what we get here in the states as 100% tea tree oil from australia doesn't even smell like the same stuff a friend sends me who lives in Melbourne, Aus - 100% tea tree oil.

Ok that's fair. I've just always read to always dilute it and that's what I've done, I work with Tea Tree Oil every day. I'll take back my previous post.

I stand corrected. MY supplier says to dilute if applying to the skin but that may be his way of covering his behind in case a reaction does occur. I only use it straight in soap because the other ingredients dilute it for me, now I know it's safe straight on the skin. Thanks Prissy.

Found this online:

I always have several bottles on hand. When I get down to one unopened bottle I ask my friend to send me more ASAP. I use it far more in the summer and I panic if I start to get low and don't have a spare bottle!

So the stuff from Australia is way better than what we have here? My parents used to sell this stuff (shampoos and soaps, pills and other stuff) that were from Australia (I think) that was made from Tea Tree Oil. I think it was just called Melaleuca, which the scientific name for Tea Tree Oil is Melaleuca Alternifolia. It's great in shampoo bars too.

Sorry to just jump in, but we used to buy the Melaleuca stuff...joined this "club" type thing, and you got "club prices" but had to buy so many points worth of products each month. I still get my dishwasher detergent from them, and used to use the laundry detergent, the tea tree oil, etc. All their products are supposed to be eco-friendly and healthier for you. I still have this really cool book, that has all the uses for their products from A-Z...health issues for you, their was even treatments for things in animals, like sores, thrush in horses, etc.

What I can buy here doesn't have the same aroma as what I get sent from Aus. The aroma is stronger and more concentrated. Both bottles read 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil but there is something more potent from the bottles I get direct from Australia. I don't know why. It is the same with the eucalyptus oil, too.

Essential oils get weaker with age. That may be it.

Hopefully American suppliers aren't diluting it to get more $ for less product.

Does anyone have good wind power related sites or have this at your home?
There are so many different options its hard to narry down.
And hearing from any actual users would be fantastic.
I have also looked into our gov. / states site that offers different things as far as even paying for 1/2 of your system if you choose to use some other type of power, anyone familiar with these or has anyone taken advantage of this type of thing?
Thanks!
