for those who have made an incubator

I think you can do a search, or check my profile - I started a thread about my own incubator. If you cannot find it, let me know and I will find the page for you.

I made my own without a turner and had a so-so first hatch (humidity issues) and a great second hatch.

There's my page and my incubator.

I find it so much more fulfilling to use an incubator I made myself. I built mine from a wooden box and hinged a cabinet door on top with a glass in it. After that it was just a matter of placing the light bulbs in the right place and playing with the humidity. After a few days of trial and error I got it working pretty good and after my first hatch I tweeked it a little and now I'd put it up against any you could buy.

We are using a cabinet as well...we got the plexiglass on and also got it insulated...we are now figuring out where to put the lights...thermostat (hot water heater tstat) and wondering wtheck a heat sink jar is for...
