Forcing Hen to go broody

If I separated a hen from the rest of the flock and gave her a full nest of eggs would she go broody. Also would the hen need to be over a year old. She been laying eggs since fall.

Broodiness is hormonal, you can't make a hen go broody.
Some breeds have had the broodiness bred out of them and don't as a general rule go broody at all.

You don't force broodiness.

One will or it won't.

Some start broody the second they lay the first egg. Some grow into it. Some never ever go broody. EVER.
