This photo was found by my brother on reddit, in a post by skatebard, entitled, "I think a bird fell in the snow and walked away. I think."



I'm thinkin' a rabbit, running and turning, so as to avoid a hawk, which simply adjusted ever so slightly and ... well ... you get the idea ~'-)
 
I have seen the picture elsewhere. I believe a raptor just dropped in to pick up dinner.

I do not think victim was aware raptor was coming. Hops too short.

Raptor came in from upper left corner then took off directly to right.

Not sure on the stride, but there's a faint drag on each that remains unchanged, and no splashes of snow ... makes sense.

Was probably grumblin' over havin' to hop so far, and that the snow was entirely too deep, and that it just couldn't get any worse, and ... it did ~'-)
