forgot to turn eggs

so I've been collecting and storing emu eggs is the basement, til i get enough to put in a new incubator. unfortunately they sent me the wrong parts so instead of starting a second batch of 6, I now have eight, and the parts still haven't arrived. I've been told you can "stock pile for up to a month (although 2 weeks is the best) so not that concerned. now for the bad part! i haven't been turning the stored eggs. just forgot. so some of the eggs sat for a week plus without being turned. So are the done? any thoughts?

I don't have emus but have had numerous other birds over the last 50 years. Not turning the eggs isn't good, however, don't just assume the eggs are ruined. Get busy and turn them and you'll probably get some chicks. Also, what you read about the care of eggs to be incubated is to get the best possible results. It doesn't mean that if the directions are not followed the eggs have no chance of hatching.

You don’t need to turn eggs until your incubating. Emu eggs can last much much longer. I don’t turn them anyway. Just leave in nest no longer than a couple of weeks for chickens. Emus have shells like coconuts lol so probably just fine!

thanks for the pep talk and advice. stupid error on my part. going to mark the ones i didn't turn and see what happens. soon as the new parts arrive i'll put this batch in the new incubator. still, now that i have some doubts about those six that sat. i'll have to incubate an extra six (if she keeps laying) to hedge my bet. Then if they all hatch .......

I've seen someone here get eggs after 8 weeks and they still hatched. Still, I don't know how they'd do if not turned, but since you can't know the best thing is just to mark and incubate them and see how they do.
I did that with duck eggs that were refrigerated, and they still hatched out well enough. I doubt the seller turned the eggs she planned on eating, although I'm unsure on how the species difference would come into play.
