Forgot what type of cockerel I bought

I don't know if it's too early to tell what breed of chick my male is. He is 3 days old. If it is too early to tell please let me know as to when would be a good time to post new pictures of him. Thank you for all your help in advance

Too early to tell. Could be any of a number of breeds at this point. Do you have any guesses? I would post pics in 3 weeks or so when feathers start coming in well.

Could be mutton, could be lamb.

It's a white (or possibly buff) chick with orange legs and a single comb. Really hard to tell anything right now.

Buff Orpington
Leghorn
White Plymouth Rock
Sexlink cockerel
White Orpington?

Did the hatchery email you a reciept?

Love your little poem. it gave me a great giggle. As to a receipt, I was so excited to be receiving my first chicks ever, so I went into a MS brain fog and left it at the feed store. And as for the breeds you mentioned. I don't believe it's any of those. I do remember the guy telling me he would have a docile personality and he's not one that is aggressive when "trying to get a piece" as he put it.

Out of all the chicks I ordered he was the only breed name at the stores list I didn't recognize. So the 15 gals I ordered I recognized right away.

So call the feed store and ask for the guy. Then ask him. Jog his memory with the details about how it should be a "chill" rooster, etc...

Or have them read you the breed list and then say to yourself, "hey, that's the only breed name at the stores list I don't recognize"
