Form letter to HOA asking them to reconsider "no poultry" rule?

My HOA does not allow chickens in our neighborhood. I'd like to change that. I have chickens already (3 pullets), so technically I'm "out of compliance" already. I don't want to call attention to the fact that I ALREADY have them. I only have one neighbor and they don't object. Our city ordinances were recently changed to allow hens and one rooster, as long as the HOA doesn't disallow them. I'm looking for a form letter or petition to an HOA, that addresses this issue. Any form letters out there??

You really need to look into the exact rules or restrictions imposed by your HOA. In most cases, the restriction is in the CC&Rs, and changing them is DIFFICULT, not somehting the board can simply vote on. CC&Rs are essentially the constitution of the neighborhood, and changing the document is similarly difficult. Once you know exactly which document disallows them, and its exact language, andteh process for changing that document, THEN you can start planning your campaign for chickens. But first you need to research.
