"Build the House before you Paint it"... this basic breeding rule is frequently cited, but knowledge is not as readily available as that on color genetics.
Please share what you know! From the proper terms to breeding approaches.

On my book list is Brian Reeder's "An Introduction to Form and Feathering of the Domestic Fowl". If you've read it, did you find it helpful?

To start us off, I learned that this is referred to as a "Wide Tent Tail", as seen on my Black Am hen Satin:

A bull neck. The technical term in chickens is a “boule.” It is found in Belgian bantams.

However, Belgian bantams have very unfluffy necks at hatch.
I find that fluffy necks and chicks are associated with badonkadonk but nothing can predict a muscle-man neck.

What I was trying to say is chicks with fluffy necks tend to have a lot of butt fluff but d'Anvers--chicks or adults--have short fluff

Hehehe! That thread also contained "reverse badonkadonk" to mean the neck fluff.
In the sample chapter of Brian Reeder's book he said the Bull neck is linked to Pea Comb, although it has been broken in some breeds.
