Hi all i have a batch of 13 keets that i took of the mother on acount of we had 130 mil of rain and she was nesting on the ground in the bushes and three had got drenched and drowned so i felt i needed to intervene anyways my question is this,,,,,, could i put the keets under one of my cochins that has three day old chicks this is option one ,,,,could i take the eggs from a cochin that is due in one week and put those eggs under a australorp which is sitting on one egg and a golf ball as of yesterday or am i best of keeping them in the brooder which i would rather not
I had good success with sneeaking eggs under the cochin hens but am not sure of age differences in chicks and keets oh i should say all thirteen are just dandy after i put them in the brooder and dried them with a hairdrier then give them warmed water and honey and some starter feed

Put them in with the cochin with the chicks as long as she can handle them all. It's close enough that the age difference will be fine. Anything less than a week has been okay for mixed clutches in my experience.
