Found 9 mistakes on metzer farms website

Right on Katharinad, good to see people who are still actively working to build community. I was never exposed to 4H or much agrarian reality when young, but it seems to be a wonderful way to get folks together. It is especially heartening to see someone not born in the U.S. being so active. HMMM.. Maybe it is because you were not born here? Anyhow, great to know that you had already thought through any concerns.. Cheers, and enjoy the geese.

You know, I am a little bit on the guilty trip for finding so many errors. I'm not locally involved with the 4H, since I don't even have children. Klamath Falls, how ever is very small, and you get in contact with people out here relatively fast. I've met tons of interesting people at a wild fire prevention call that was free from the Oregon State Extension Service and the local Fire Department. I know some people at the Oregon State Extension Service that do work with the 4H program and they can find children to give animals too. Well the kids actually have to write essays to be eligible. They have to show knowledge first. I find that wonderful, that kids are eager to learn something on their own and to participate in such programs. Not that there is much else out here to do.

They don't have to much organized stuff going on in Germany since WWII. People associate things with the Nazi youth really fast. Not even Boy or Girl scouts exists, which I find rather sad. They tell kids to go and help the Red Cross or some other charity. The East Germans always had programs for the children, but that was being used to mold them into their communist system. All these things have left bad after tastes with many people. It's a shame, because I think it is good to give children some guidance or goals.

I have a good friend who lived in Bend for many years (now in Ashland), so I have traveled through K Falls many times. I fly Fish as much as possible, and there is some magic water in that area. That being said, the poverty is real there. I am from Santa Cruz, Ca, and we have homelessness, but the issue there seems to be more the overall health of the economy in the face of ever diminishing mill work. A beautiful area to be sure if one can deal with a share of tweakers and rednecks. If I ever get back up that way, I will try to come see your precious Saxony ducks. Good to have a little of ones heritage, Eh?

You are welcome to visit, just let us know prior. We are right next to John C Boyle reservoir and there is plenty of fish out here. We used to live in Seaside, near Monterey, when my husband was still in the military. Beautiful down there, but it is sad so see homeless people that have jobs. It's so expensive down there. Love Santa Cruz, but could not afford to live there. Even Ashland is to expensive for us. We wanted some land and in Klamath it is still affordable. Go out towards Lakeview and it get even cheaper. You can still buy a small home for 40,000 dollars in town! Old and small but a house. You know it is bad when dentists offer cheap tooth pulling. I have never seen that many toothless people in my life. I feel sad for those poor children you see in winter wearing flip flops, and you know Walmart is not that expensive when it comes to shoes. We have a large goodwill across from Walmart and I donate to them when ever I can. Walmart is good for our community, for as much as people complain about Walmart. They donate a lot of food to the homeless shelters out here. They even donate to the humane society so people can pick up free food for their animals, that includes barn animals. Without it lots of animals would not survive our winters. People out here are friendly and love to help. We clean up the highway along our property twice per year. We don't have to. It's only a quarter mile we clean, but we do it anyway. It is nice to see people driving by waving their hands at us. And every time we clean at least one stops and thanks us for doing it. Isn't that amazing. In one hand you have the rednecks that don't care and drive with their flatbed open so the trash flies off, and then we have those that thank us. Those are the little things that make you feel good.

BTW my Saxony girls have molted the first time and their colors are really nice now. Even the boy starts to look good, but I think he needs one more molt to look gorgeous. He is such a sweety. Next spring I get get some Embden geese, but will only keep 3 for myself. They will also be pets.
