Found a Baby Kitten

With no prior experience raising a pet, I am quite impressed.

It was harder to tell than I thought!! The lady at the pet store said her color looked like a girl ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I didn't know color mattered with gender. It definitely has a very pretty coloration though 🤣 I am dying to know if it is a boy or girl. I think they named it "Blue", something neutral.
I agree, it's a very nice color.
There is a cat in my area who used to come and sit on the roof of my quail hutch.

I had a very independent outdoor cat growing up named Toby. She lived for 18 years 💜 always loved cats and wanted one because of her but I never had luck with them and then my husband is allergic so I'm out of luck. I love how independent they are, and those Sphynx cats are soooooo cuuuuute 🤩

Omgoodness theres a black and white cat that sits on the roof of my coop all night!! It's getting less afraid of me 😒

That’s why I guessed girl. Genetically tortious shell/calico cats are 99.9% female. She has a torti face.

My husband found a baby kitten inside his car this morning on his way to work. Not even sure how old it is... We have a lot of stray cats so there's a chance it's feral but it's very nice but scared. I offered it milk, canned chicken, and water with no luck and not even showing interest.
What should or could I do to help until I can find it a good home? I can't get to the store until my kids are done with classwork (another hour or so), any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What a beautiful story , your nephew sounds as if he is going to be a natural carer of animals.
About two years ago I had a baby kitten arrive in my back garden not much older than this cutie, he was impossible to catch. One day I heard dreadful screeching from magpies they were attacking him. I intervened but before I could catch him he was gone again. The end of this story is I trapped him got too the vets too make sure he did not produce any more strays. It took a year and a half when he decided he wanted to live with us, he now sleeps with my dog most of the time and we wouldn't be with out him :)

She looks like a blue tort. That color is mainly owned by females and the occasional sterile male.

That is so inspiring! I love stories that end up positive though. When I found out the kitten was about 4 weeks old, I kind of worried what her outcome would be especially if she was too young to be away from mom cat.

That's interesting... does it matter what the parents look like? I've been on the look out but haven't seen the [suspected] mom cat but if it is the one I'm thinking, she is brown striped and white.
Cats are lactose intolerant don't give it cows milk.
Good to know! I had no idea 😓 thankfully she didn't want it anyway.
