Hey all, I called some local bird places in town (British Columbia) and all of them told me to put it back outside.

If I were at my house, not such a big deal to just leave it outside but we have a bunch of vehicles and people on my job site and it is definitely going to get squished! I'm just trying to find out what I can feed it or if I can try to find another family of quail somewhere else that I can try and stick it with..

Any advice? I want to give the little bird a chance.

I noticed in another post further down, that baby quail need to be taught to drink and eat. I've got a heated blanket at home that I can throw under the box I have or set up a light. I have no idea what to feed the chick though, most farm stores are closed in town and that means I probably won't be able to get my hands on any starter feed tonight. So my only options for pet food is Walmart or Petland (that sort of thing).. Is there any suggestions for what I can make for it at home?

Hardboiled egg chipped up fine. Get a high protein starter ASAP, I use 24% chick starter.
I've never raised a chick by itself, but I read alot on here that say they do not fare well solo.
Good luck.

IF you could find a covey of quail, which isn't very likely, they'd probably reject a newcomer, possibly even kill it if it can't get away. What flavor quail does BC have?
