Hi! So I think someone dumped a duck in my yard. Probably seen the chicken coop. It is really friendly. Follows me around. Sits on my lap. I think it’s a girl. I looked for the owner but nothing so I will love it! ❤️ I just know nothing about ducks. How can I tell if it’s happy? Body language? Noises? It chats a lot. Quacks loud when I leave the room. Like to jus chill with us.

:welcomeWish you could post a picture. She can eat what your chickens eat but because she’s a duck All Flock would be best since it’s formulated for all poultry. Water needs to be deep enough she can dunk her head and clean out her eyes and nares. Since female she’ll eventually lay eggs so she’ll need oyster shell kept separate from her feed and she’ll use it as needed. Bless you for taking her in. Sounds like she has the perfect forever home. She’ll need to have a secure house and some nice soft bedding to keep her warm too.

Hi Linda! I went and got her duck food and a nice deep dish. I have brought her in and let her bath in the tub..... that was hilarious! She lives in the garage bar with my elder chicken. It’s heated. I have an area penned off just for her with lots of straw. Just want to make her happy!

Posting a picture would help, but boys or drakes have a curl on the end of their tale and females do not have the curl.
