Hi I found a quail outside in my apartment parking lot and I bought it inside I don't know if its wild or domesticated I don't know what to do with it I found a guy that's a rehabilitator for birds small mammals and reptiles but my mom is concerned about him feeding it to another animal what should I do?

Can I see a picture of the quail I can tell you if it’s a coturnix or some other type.

Picture? That will help us identify if it's domestic or wild. If it's wild, you need to send it to a wildlife rescue.

In the meantime, however, make sure it has plenty of water and see if you can get some game bird crumble for it. If you can't find game bird crumble, turkey crumble will do, and if you think you're only going to have it for a day or less, some boiled, crushed egg yolk will work.

Edit: Is this an adult or a chick? If it's a chick, it will need heat, around 95 degrees.
