First off I'm not spamming or selling anything. My wife and I are what some might call cheap or a minimalist. We can't stand bills that you can't just pay off and own ie cell phones cable internet etc.... We have found a way to save a decent amount of money from our monthly gas and electric bill! We have started a savings from the gas and electric bill to take our Disney cruise. Also with it is an opportunity to completely get rid of your monthly bill. That to me is awesome we have found a way to pay off the never ending Electric bill. Again I'm not trying to spam or sell anything I have just found another way to free up a little more cash each month if ya are curious or wanna know pm me thanks
And why wouldn't you just post it here? If you notice, when people aren't trying to spam someone, that's not on their mind, they don't mention it the first thing on their post!
Well I know how people are about things. I don't want anyone to feel like I was just blasting things on the open forum. Look if your interested I will gladly share the information with you and anyone else. Our savings was 65.00 the first month. This is all about the energy deregulation and I was excited about saving some cash
What Megan and I have done is got on board the energy deregulation bus. If ya got five minutes call this number 215-600-1994 it will be a brief message kinda giving ya an idea. What we did was change energy providers got a lower rate and got an opportunity to actually pay our electric bill off. Yes, we too got our electric bill under control - we paid a whopping $45 for a computerized meter that tracks our usage....and dh spent a month figuring out where our electric hogs were hiding.
Those automatic timers for lights? Huge electrical hogs.
The computer that's always on? Another piggie. Switched to using a laptop that was formerly a desk-weight - and bam, usage down!
Changed out lightbulbs to LED's. Initial investment a tad high comparatively - but dropped energy use in a big way. Menards has them on sale periodically - or get them when they're on rebate.
Installed new fridge, new freezer, new furnance (old was 22yrs old) - again, high outlay, but the hogs went to recycle! Gave to folks who needed 'em - so better recycle than a heap somewhere.
Our electric use has dropped to the point where we're considering alternative energy for ourselves. Before, to be off-grid would be such an expense, it would be like we put an addition on the house! Now, with less usage, to buy a good system will be less than 3mo mortgage payments! Wohoo! That's do-able.
And that's better savings for us long-term.
Yes, don't miss cable. Don't need a big-screen thing that sucks our lives out of us daily. Don't have smartphones that are tracking me everywhere I go. Don't need much in terms of technology. Why? Old systems work great! Do have rich life that is WAY better for me in long term. And a chick to enjoy every spring!
Our bill has went from $213.00 to $148.00 with no change in our usages that's $65.00 for us and that's why I wanted to share this! There's no penalties to switch back if for some reason your not happy! All I know is we hate change but this was a really good one to take advantage of! Our old provider could change rates and we're locked in for twelve months at our rate! Can't see why anyone wouldn't save cash for a full year with no risk we love it!
