Found an egg on my dock

Thank you for your help! After how many days should veins be showing up for an egret?
oh man, i have absolutely no idea. the incubation time is similar to a duck’s, so here’s a duck candling chart ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The dark part moves when I move the egg. So it isn't fertile?
No, it will be like this for a few days. You will need to wait. Usually, it is about two whole days to spot this, green/teal eggs are trickier to detect, the starting veins which start to become viewable at around three days to four days (at least for me) it can be a pain to spot because of the color. (I do not hatch heron eggs, but I am atempting to hatch green easter egger eggs, I now the pain of a green colored egg. 🤣)

Well, I did some more research. If the baby hatches, it is illegal to care for, you would have to get a permit. After the egg hatches, if it does, you would have to find a wildlife care and rehab place and bring it there, perhaps even call one today. Aww, I was hoping that you could care for it. I saw many videos of people caring for wild, baby birds and releasing them when they're old enough.
