Hey all,
We found our young pullet Pepper this afternoon like this.
I've seen hot chickens before but not like this and maybe she isn't having heat issues at all. She has access to food, water, other hens who are acting normally. She was acting fine this morning when we saw her and the only thing I can think of is if she is somehow sick from something she ate, though I imagine other chickens would be ill too, or that maybe she's dealing with heat exhaustion. I'm really at a loss. I quite literally have my iPad on me to read what you all think this might be. In the meantime my daughter has her separated from the flock (they weren't bothering her) and in the shade. Tried giving her water but she's not well. Hopefully the video helps!
