So it has been given a bath (which it loved so much), watched a movie, and all our pets have welcomed it! Especially my kittens, and it now comfortably hangs out with my bantam hens. Also... Its A HEN?!?!?!!!??

How did you do that? It didn't freak out? Ive never bathed a chicken, and im sure my silkies would look better if cleaned.

Lol...i have a Bantam Cochin pair that will get muddy, messy with their feathered feet and legs so they get baths and a blow dry..spoiled girls

storms can relocate animals there are documented storms that have dropped fish and frogs miles away from where they should be found. that's my guess a storm of strong wind left it there.

I wonder, could that be a battery hen? Maybe she was on her way to the processor? I've heard they get out of the trucks sometimes. Good save on your part! She's a lucky bird.

And yeah, they actually like water......... though the first thing they'll do is poop in it. l0l!

I give my girls baths periodically. If someone is having messy, poopy bum frathers, into the spa they go! I soak them in warm Epsom salt water, get the goop off, soak them in a bucket of warm rinse water, towel dry & fluff with a blow dryer! I oil their legs, spruce up their comb & wattles & tend anything that needs tending. If it's a first spa day, they might even get a treat in between being fidgety & again before going back outside.
