I dont know how to post pics, but it still has away to go before its completly healled. We believe it's face was badly burned. Has no crest or feather on face.

New update:
The chickens scabs on her face have come off! Both eyes are open now! I know for sure she can see, this morning she caught 2 of the grass hoppers I tossed in the cage. Tonight I will place her on the roost in hopes she will be accepted. Hold prayer she adapts.

Congratulations!!!!!! Why don't you put her in the coop in the dog carrier and let the others slowly get to know her. I would hate for her to get hurt again

I do have another question...
Will her crest ever grow back, and what is the purpose of the crest? Does it control heat regulation as in other birds?

Do you mean the comb? If so, they can live without it. I don't think it really has any purpose...some breeds have theirs dubbed, or cut off, for show purposes. Some breeds barely have any at all. I think she will be just fine without it and, no, I don't think it will grow back.

I had to cut the comb off of one of mine. I named her combless she does fine with out it . It won't grow back. Great job your doing with the chicken way to go.
