Found eggs

Found a dozen eggs layed under the coop, would you set them?????

How long were they there? What are you temperatures at night? Have you candled them?

If they candle fresh and you have fertile chickens, why not?

I would say less than a week, and it has been in the 70's days and 40's at night up until yesterday. I haven't candled but the eggs I have used have shown fertile. If nothing else I can fill the bator with them to help the temps with my bator so maybe the Delaware eggs I purchased will do better????

Temps not too bad but I would candle them first to watch for cracks and make sure they are not too old, ie big air pockets. You don't want to risk your good eggs with a possible bad exploder or anything. Doesn't hurt to put them in, just keep an eye on them.

Great Thx, I will check them for cracks and let them set for a few hours and then candle. They are a little dirty should I wipe them or leave them? Still learning here do appreciate the help.
