Found homes

I am a rooster rescuer and have found homes for all 25 rescues now on to the next project building a large brooder pallet place here I come anyone have any idea how big I should make it it needs to hold at least 50 chicks

IIRC, it's 1/2 square foot per chick for the first couple weeks, 1 square foot for the next stage, and 2 square feet per bird by the time they're 6 weeks old.

How long to you plan to keep them on heat and will they need to live there after they're off heat or will they be moved to a grow-out facility?

Can you make it 10x10 or 8x12 and use internal dividers to partition it off for the first week or two?

In my 4x8 brooder I put a portion across the middle to keep them closer to the heat lamp until they got used to where to go to warm up.
