Found injured chicken on side of road

Can anyone help me find a thread about an individual that found a chicken (possibly from a chicken plant) that was injured? I just received a call from someone wanting to give me a chicken they found on the road. The individual lives near a chicken plant, she says the chicken has a wound to the skin on her chest but other than that seems fine. I thought the thread could be helpful.

If it is a cornishx it night be best just to cull it. This chicken is probably so weak from its treatment where it grew up.

I pretty much agree with you conny, but I havent seen it yet and the poor girl that called me didnt have any idea what to do so I told her to bring it to me. I'll make my hubby do the culling if needed but if shes really not bad I'll let her have a home. I know there was someone else on BYC that found a bird like this and had a thread going but I'm unable to find it.
