Found my 10 wk cockerel upside down in feed bowl limp

Boy have I had trouble with these chicks. It will be a miracle if they make it to adulthood. Just last week they had cocci. Now when I went in there the only cockerel was upside down in the feed dish limp. He looked dead. I grabbed him and he felt dead. I yanked him out and one side of his head was puffed up. I think he was on his last breath. I got him just in time. It took him about half an hour to look normal again. Now I am in there evry half hour checking on them.

Thank goodness you found him in time. That poor baby probably didn't know what he was getting himself into trying to hog out on the feed by going in the top. I hope he is ok and recovering well.

I put a little shallow dish in there now for food and tohight I'm just going to take the food away
