Found my favorite silkie hen dead today

Just got an update from the vet. So far, the necropsy is showing coccidiosis AND cryptosporidiosis. Which is very odd. This was a 2 yr old hen with NO symptoms except diarrhea. And I had treated with Corid. Must be a different strain of coccidia. Going to get meds for the remaining flock tomorrow.

I have never tried Corid, but have had good luck with Sulumet. Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. Good luck with the rest of your flock.
