I found a quail egg in my front yard. I don't think it's very far along and I'm pretty sure it's still alive because it's warm. I don't have an incubator, right now I am using a heating pad keeping the temperature at about 90 to 100 degrees. It has some cracks in it but none of the insides leaked out, I how to Flashlight to the egg but I couldn't make out anything. Any advice on how to take care of it before it hatches and when it hatches will be welcomed it is a Gambel quail in Arizona. Does anyone know how to tell how far along it is, again any advice is welcome.

Keeping it between 90°F and 100°F will not keep it alive. In order to hatch a cracked egg, it is necessary to seal the cracks. Many use candle wax but be careful to not overdo it.
