After examining it for a little longer, I put it back where I found it.
I’m not in any condition to care for an egg, I have no incubator, nor experience. If the egg had life, I would have taken it to a sanctuary when I could. But seeing as it's been there for who knows how long, I'll let nature do its thing.
I've hatched geckos (mainly captive bred) but also wild ones found when landscaping, and remodeling a house. I always make sure to release them back into their natural habitat, and sometimes I'll get to see them grow! I know geckos are much different from birds, Maybe someday I'll take the risk and try to hatch chickens, but for now, if I find abandoned eggs, I'll contact the wildlife conservation first![]()
