Found roster in a park

I found a roster in a park one time took it to my grandparents house and they said it could live there in their barn. well I go to check on it 2 weeks later and it was walking around with the dog and following the dog. It never wants to be with the other hens what do i do? How Can I get it to understand it's a chicken not a dog?

it might be a youngun, and the hens might kick the crap out of him yet, so he is using the services of the dog for protection...
